I Feel Like Someone Else
It was after a long time
That I went out for a drive.
We drove on,
Listening to “I will survive”.
The promenade was empty
As was the road
And out of a little curiosity
I poked my head out of the window.
I breathed in the fresh night air
The blowing wind inspired me
To leave open my hair.
It was the greed sniffing for more fresh air
And the breeze blowing through my hair
That made me feel like a shaggy dog.
I felt like a shaggy dog
That sits on the backseat of cars
With one paw on the scrolled down window
Curiously marveling this world of ours.
That I went out for a drive.
We drove on,
Listening to “I will survive”.
The promenade was empty
As was the road
And out of a little curiosity
I poked my head out of the window.
I breathed in the fresh night air
The blowing wind inspired me
To leave open my hair.
It was the greed sniffing for more fresh air
And the breeze blowing through my hair
That made me feel like a shaggy dog.
I felt like a shaggy dog
That sits on the backseat of cars
With one paw on the scrolled down window
Curiously marveling this world of ours.
